seed-to-plate day

our suppliers and the local area are our inspiration. we work closely with both to create our dishes and drinks.

spend the day with us as we create delicious seasonal dishes and connect with the custodians of the land. these classes will take place on market gardens, farms and community supported agriculture sites on the gower peninsula.

you will learn about the growing process and how to showcase the best of the seasons’ offerings, as well as use some wyld ingredients that we will forage too.

our march event will take place at the rowan tree.

what does seed-to-plate entail:

  • a morning gaining an insight into what happens on a market garden throughout the seasons. join in with seed sowing and planting, and learn about a range of sustainable growing techniques, such as making your own organic fertilisers and the no dig method. we'll also talk about how these methods can be adapted to small growing spaces.

  • a light seasonal lunch using produce from the market garden and foraged food

  • an afternoon of creative cooking

  • fermentation workshop, including kombucha

  • a digital booklet of growing tips and seasonal recipes

  • a complimentary gift from the growers

  • option to purchase a kombucha home-brewing kit
