foraging clwb // march

On Saturday we held our first gwyr foraging clwb, in collaboration with We Are Woven.

We Are Woven is a botanical art studio based at the Gower Heritage Centre; exploring connection through creative practice, our true nature and living in relationship with wild spaces.

We started our two hour trail in Ilston Woods where we documented spring plants, both edible and toxic, like: cleavers, wild garlic, wood sorrel and many more. It was wonderful to connect with some beautiful individuals and explore the woods with them.

We finished the trail at We Are Woven’s greenhouse in The Heritage Centre, where we had a tea party which featured the plants we had met on our walk. We also shared lots of our favourite reference books.

It was great to see our guests confidence grow and connect with like-minded humans.

We have just released some extra dates for the rest of the year. More details below.

These foraging clwbs offer us chance to document the subtle shift of the seasons and will delve into the potent medicines growing all around us throughout the year. They are open to all levels of understanding. We seek to build community and share knowledge through these events.

Each trail will include:

  • 2 hour guided foraging trail

  • Tips on how to identify plants

  • Ideas on how to prepare edibles

  • Practices in mindfulness

  • Light seasonal lunch inspired by our foraged ingredients

  • Locally foraged herbal tea

In order to get the most out of the experience we recommend that you attend for three sessions. This will help you reaffirm and build on what you have learnt as the landscape gently transforms through the seasons. Once you have add three sessions to your cart use the discount code WOVENWYLD for 20% off your bundle.

Depending on the weather and the seasonal clock, we will be investigating different Gower terrains and locations to forage for our fresh finds.

Much love,

Jasmin xx
